The rules, in plain words.

Hands 4life Inc is a nonprofit corporation registered in Florida and recognised by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity. Our EIN is 84-4439928. Our address is 1431 Riverplace Blvd, Suite 1510, Jacksonville, FL 32207.

Gifts to us are tax deductible in the United States to the extent the law allows.

When you choose a fund, your gift goes into that fund and stays there. A gift to the building is spent on building. A sponsorship is spent on the person you are sponsoring. We do not move it to cover something else, however tight the month is.

Our system records the fund on the gift itself, not in a note somebody has to remember, so this is a rule the software keeps rather than a promise a person makes.

There is one exception, and the law requires us to name it. If a project is finished, cancelled, or turns out to need less than we raised, the board may move the money left over to the nearest similar purpose. If that ever happens we will say so publicly, and if your gift was large enough to matter we will write to you first.

If you gave the wrong amount, gave twice by accident, or meant to give once and set up a monthly gift, write to us and we will refund it. No argument and no form to fill in.

You can cancel a monthly gift at any time by replying to any email from us. We will never make that hard, and we will not ask you to justify it.

You are welcome to read, print and share anything on this site. Please do not use our name, our logo or photographs of the people we serve to raise funds without asking us first.

Photographs of children on this site are published with a signed release. They are not free stock images and they must not be reused elsewhere.

Do not use this site to break the law, to try to reach our records, or to send bulk messages through our forms.

We link to other sites, including our payment partner and the public IRS records. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for what is on them.

We try hard to keep this site accurate and working. We cannot promise it is free of errors or always available. Figures about future plans are plans, not guarantees, and we mark them as plans wherever they appear.

Financial figures we publish are taken from filings we have already made. Where a number is a target rather than something that happened, we say so on the page.

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida.

Hands 4Life is registered with the State of Florida to ask for donations here. Our registration is current. Florida requires the following statement on anything that asks the public for money, so it appears here and in the footer of every page.
